This site documents the build of a Sylva RIOT SE. For those of you who don't know Sylva Autokits Ltd make kit cars, their latest models are the MOJO2 and the RIOT more details about them can be found here www.sylva.co.uk.
The car I'm interested in is the RIOT. It comes in two variants motorcycle power or Ford ZETEC SE power, I'm interested in the latter. The build started at the end of December 2005 and after a break between June and October 2006 due to work the car was completed at the at the end of March 2007. The car passed it's SVA on 30 March 2007.

Finally a summer that kit cars were made for, been out on the roads enjoying the sun no trackdays of yet but there is still time. Unfortunately work has been busy so I haven't had as much time as I like to get out on the roads but hopefully we got a couple more weeks of fine weather ahead. Also I had noticed that the hit counter had crossed over 20000 hits since the website was set up in late 2006, I still get on average 200 hits a month although the all time high was 1000 hits when I was building up to getting the SVA done. As long as people are still looking at the website I'll keep it open hopefully for a long time yet. |

After an awful summer I didn't get much chance to drive the Riot I think in total I got about 4 occasions to take it out. Hopefully summer 2010 will be a scorcher and I'll get to drive it a bit more plus I need to make use of Knockhill a bit more and enjoy a few more trackdays. For now I've added a new button to the sidebar which has some images of the Riot from all sides something that the website was strangely lacking!! |
